My mother was 99 living in her own home. She was getting increasingly forgetful and we were getting concerned. We did not know where to start. We were given the CareConnect helpline number by our lawyer. After talking with CareConnect we were referred to CareConnect+. An RN came the next day, did an assessment of our mother and her current situation and came up with a plan of action. We were able to tour different retirement homes, make a choice of one that our mother liked and within two months she was able to move into independent living. CareConnect+ also were able to find several realtor for us to choose from to sell her home, a company to sort and pack mother’s belongings, and find a mover to move to her new home, it was amazing, we could have never done it all without the help of CareConnect+

My husband was palliative and wished to be at home. CCAC was very helpful, but I ended up having to coordinate the “gap” care, all the care that needed to be added so my husband had 24hr care. Our front door was a continual swinging door. If CCAC couldn’t do a shift, I had to try and get someone; I was a wreck! My husband was dying and I was glued to the timetable. A friend recommended CareConnect+; it was heaven. The RN from CareConnect+ spoke to CCAC, the gap caregivers, arranged for a live-in caregiver, spoke to the insurance companies , they gave me back my sanity, so I could spend my time with my husband.
